It is with deep regret that we record the death of Mr. Robin Stoupe of 49 Malone Park, Belfast, which took place suddenly on last Saturday.
Son of the late Mr. A. Stoupe, proprietor many years ago of a boot and shoe establishment in Francis Street, Newtownards, and Mrs. Stoupe.
He was well known in business and Masonic circles and was managing director of Hicks Bullick & Co., thread manufacturers of Hastings Street, Newtownards.
Mr. Stoupe, who was 57, was a member of the Ulster Reford Club Royal Belfast and Malone golf clubs.
He was past master and secretary of masonic Lodge No. 40, Past King of R.A.C. No. 7, Past Preceptor of Lagan Valley Preceptory and a member of the Belfast Chapter of Prince Masons No. 8.
He is survived by his wife and two sons."
Note that while there is a marker for him in Movilla Cemetery, it says he is actually buried in Roselawn.
