Steve Abbott of Lipan, a truck driver for Lucky Petroleum Co. for five years, died Sunday, June 1, 1997 at Hood General Hospital. He was 48.
Mr. Abbott was born Sept. 8, 1948 in Oak Park, Ill.
He married Carol Gregory October 5, 1985 in Lipan.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.
He had lived in the Lipan and Hood County area since 1977 and was a Methodist.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Abbott of Lipan; two sons, Greg Dupus of Wheatland and Kevin Dupus of Lipan; two daughters, Audrey Abbott of Granbury and Sheila Green of Garland; mother and step-father, Shirley and Jim Arcesi of Granbury; mother-in-law, Mary Ada Bybee of Lipan; four grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services are at 2 p. m. today (Wednesday, June 4, 1997) at Calvary Baptist Church in Lipan with Rev. Tommy Free officiating with Rev. Dave Samples and Rev. Wayne Ford assisting.
Interment will follow in Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury. Wiley Chapel in Lipan is in charge of arrangements.
