Veteran of the Vietnam War. Served in the United States Navy. Recipient of the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Medal, and Good Conduct Medal. Preceded in death by his father, Dick Stewart Abbott (11/7/1977). His brother Steve also served during the Vietnam conflict.

Thomas William Abbott, age 33, passed away Thursday in Cupertino, California.

Mr. Abbott was born on November 27, 1946, in Oak Park, Illinois.

He had been employed as a computer analyst in California for the past three and one-half years.

He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Survivors to Mr. Abbott include his mother, Mrs. Shirley Abbott of Granbury and his brother, Steve Abbott of Granbury.

Graveside services for Mr. Abbott were held at 11 am in the Holly Hills Cemetery Saturday with Rev. Ted Cord officiating. Martin's Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Abbott received a National Defense Service Medal/Vietnam Service Medal/Vietnam Campaign Medal w/(1 Star)/Navy Unit Commendation Medal/Good Conduct Medal (First Award) for Service ending 30 Nov 69.
