Relatives here have received word of the death of Anthony Stewart, 68 years of age, which occurred at Blythe, Calif., Monday, June 7, and funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Blythe, with internment there. The Tribune had a letter from Arthur Stewart, at Indianapolis stating he had received a telegram Thursday telling of the death and burial. Anthony Stewart was born on a farm near Mouldentown, his parents being Stephen and Amy (Ruddick) Stewart, pioneers who settled there in the early fifties and was the last of the children of this pioneer couple, with the exception of one daughter, Mrs. Laura More, who makes her home with her daughter, Mrs. Isaac Gunkle, near Sharpsville. More than thirty years ago, Anthony Stewart went to Colorado where he remained for about four years and then went to California, locating at Blythe. He had been back in this county but once since leaving His wife has been deceased for a number of years, but he has two sons and a daughter, all residing in Los Angeles.
