Cornelious Anderson

TEXAS CITY — Cornelious Anderson of West Texas City died Monday at Mainland Center Hospital.

Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, the Rev. F.A. Allen and the Rev. S.A. Anderson officiating.

Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock.

A wake will be held 7-8 p.m. Friday at Craven Memorial Chapel.

Born Aug. 30, 1930, in New Waverly, Texas.

Mr. Anderson was employed as an operator with Union Carbide for 16 years. He was a deacon and a member of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Azebell Anderson; daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Harris of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Cheryl Harris of Pittsfield, Mass, and Miss Shila R. Anderson; son, Mr. Ronald K. Anderson; Houston; stepdaughters, Ms. Valerie Green of Houston and Ms. Cynthia Franklin of Texas City; four sisters, Viola Henry of La Marque, Delia Hill of New Waverly, Texas, Olivia Clay of San Francisco, and Martha Ray Thompson of Half Moon Bay, Calif.; four brothers, Will Anderson of La Marque, Nolan Anderson of San Francisco, the Rev. S.A. Anderson of Texas City and LeRon Anderson of San Francisco; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be brothers, deacons and friends of the family.
