PATTERSON – A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, July 1, 2013, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson for Mr. Lawrence Leo Gunther, 72, a native of Morse and a resident of Patterson, who passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Teche Regional Medical Center. Burial will follow in Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Angelo Cremaldi will officiate the services.
Survivors include one son, Rickey J. Gunther of Patterson; one granddaughter, Alexis Gunther of Berwick; one brother, Joseph J. Gunther and his wife Gloria of Patterson; one sister, Mary Gunther Menard and her husband Charles of Crowley; and a close family friend, Christie Bailey, and her children, Charli, Shelbi, B.J., and Joei all of Patterson.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Carol Myers Gunther; and his parents, Amel Gunther and Agnes Gaspard Gunther.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM, with the rosary being prayed at 10:00 AM.
