Christine (Woods) Baxter, age 84 of New Castle, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at Homestead Nursing Center. Daughter of the late Marvin "Chick" and Mamie (Kelley) Woods, she was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Barnett Crabb, Sr.; her second husband, Harvey "Junior" Baxter, Jr. and a son, John Barnett Crabb, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Davis of Richmond, KY; 2 Step-Daughters, Brenda Kelley (Dwayne) of Shelbyville, KY, Linda Downey of Cub Run, KY; a step-son, Larry Baxter (Valerie) of Shelbyville, KY; a sister, Thelma Roberts of Smithfield; a brother, Eddie Woods (Willie) of Lexington; 12 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
A Memorial Graveside Service will be at 2 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Smithfield Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Carl Rucker of Campbellsburg.
There will be no visitation at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
