Frank J. Walker was the only son of Mary and Lester Walker. He served in World War II and was missing-in-action for 10 months after a bombing mission on Malta until finally he escaped from German and Italian forces. He was awarded the Flying Cross, the Air Medal, and the Purple Heart for his services. He married Marie Catherine Smith on October 4, 1944 in Troy, NY and had 2 kids, Catherine and Frank. His daughter Catherine received his Prisoner-of-War Medal posthumously on November 23, 1988.
