Without her, I wouldn't be interested in genealogy at all. Mary Fogarty was the middle child of Lester and Mary Walker. She married James Fogarty on September 10, 1949 in Troy, NY. Their kids were Kathleen and Jerry. She was the official Plattsburgh historian from 1972 until her retirement in 1986. She made a genealogy containing info on the Walker family's ancestry for her cousin, John R. Walker (my granddad) which was completed in March of 1990. My granddad's genealogy from her gave me curiosity about my family history and helped me make many amazing discoveries. Sadly, she died in 2005, but her memory lives on in her fascinating book. Despite 23 years since being made, it's in very good condition. Mary was a very good-hearted person.
