Kathleen M (Beatty) Banta, age 91, of Burlington, WI, formerly of Richland County, WI, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 26th, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 6th, 1921 in Richland County, WI the daughter of Logan and Mary Beatty and was one of 13 children. She married David Banta on May 9th, 1941 and they had 4 sons: Michael (Laurie) of Kenosha, Daniel (Beverly) of Las Vegas, NV, John of Orrick, MO, and Tom (Marianne) of Kennewick, WA.
Kathleen lived in Richland Center, Hub City area, Germantown, White School area, Cazenovia, Kansasville, and finally settled in Burlington where she owned 2 successful restaurants before working at Foster Forbes Glass Factory until she retired. Throughout her life, she was an avid homemaker. She liked to knit, crochet, scrapbook and spend as much time as she could with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She donated many knitted hats and scarves to Walworth County for underprivileged children.
Kathleen is survived by her 4 sons, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 brothers, 4 sisters and 1 grandson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Pratt Memorial Chapel in Richland Center. Burial will follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pratt Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
