Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin with Reverend Craig Wolfgram officiating. Burial will be at the Elroy City Cemetery in Elroy, Wisconsin with military rites. Visitation will be held at the Conway Picha Funeral Home on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M.
Pete was born June 1, 1923 in Rockbridge, Wisconsin the son of Logan and Mary (Chesemore) Beaty. In 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and he was honorably discharged in 1948 at Washington D.C. In April of 1951 he married Naomi Hutchens in Cazenovia, Wisconsin. Pete enjoyed the outdoors along with hunting deer, squirrels and rabbits; traveling and camping out west in the mountains; visiting historical places; reading and watching sunsets.
Pete is survived by his beloved wife, Naomi; a son, Dwayne of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughters, Nona (Skip) Knapp of Hales Corners, Wisconsin and Jacqueline Miska of Muskego, Wisconsin; brothers, Wallace Beaty of Black Earth, Wisconsin and Steven Beaty of Citrus Heights, California; sisters, Kathleen Banta of Burlington, Wisconsin, Shirley Beckwith and Patricia (Avery) Clark both of Richland Center, Wisconsin and Barbara DeVault of Phillips, Wisconsin; and grandchildren, Sara Beringer, Paul Miska and James Miska. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul; brothers, Kenneth, Dyle and John; and sisters, Valda, Ariel and Alice.
