Lynda Ollie (Vaughn) Turner, age 64, a resident of Mountainair, NM. passed away on Friday, June 28, 2013.
Lynda is the daughter of Jack and Hazel (Kayser) Vaughn and the oldest of four children.
She was a member of Mountainair First Baptist Church, where she was very active.
Lynda enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and baking.
She was a retired bus driver contractor for 27 years with the Mountainair schools.
Lynda was also a graduate of DeWolff Beauty College, and a beautician at Nancy's Hair Enchantment.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Eugene Vaughn and Hazel Esther Kayser Vaughn.
Lynda leaves behind her husband of 45 years, Everett, three sons and their wives, Travis and Theresa Turner of Mountainair, NM, Wade and Noelle Turner of Sutherland, NE and Clinton and Joyce Turner of Mountainair, NM, brother, Marvin Jack Vaughn and his wife, Maureen of Grants, NM, one of two sisters, Renee Brooks of Albuquerque, NM and her second sister, Ardath Owens and her husband, Jack Owens of Albuquerque, NM, ten grandchildren, Joseph, Karrie, Lynna, Tieran (T.J.), Katelyn, Trinity, Hollie, Douglas, Cody and Emily, who are loved by their blessed "granny" Lynda and a great-grandchild is on the way.
All services will be held at Mountainair First Baptist Church beginning with a viewing from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tony Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Kayser-Eastview Cemetery, Forest Road 275, beside her mother, Hazel.
Pallbearers will be Everett Turner, Travis Turner, Wade Turner, Clinton Turner, Marvin J. Vaughn and Bill Don Barfield. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Carl Barfield, Jay L. Warner, Joe Sanchez, R.A. Emens, Laurence Garcia, Gary Starr and Richard Lee Pugh.
