Edmond Schraub, age 90 of Seguin, passed away on July 1, 2013.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Tres Hewell Mortuary from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Tres Hewell Mortuary Chapel with Pastoral Assistant Donna Lou Zipp officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Edmond was born on March 25, 1923 in Guadalupe County to Theodore and Agnes Hufft Schraub. Edmond worked for the Texas Department of Transportation for 34 years retiring in 1985. Edmond also enjoyed farming and ranching on the family farm, as well as bowling, dancing and traveling. Since 2005 he has been a resident of Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Joyce Schmidt Schraub, his parents, brother, Ted Schraub, sister, Adeline Schmidt and her husband Jessie, infant sister, Annie Mae Schraub, sisters-in-law, Annette Markgraf and Iris Schraub, brother-in-law, S. L. Mann, and mother-in-law, Margaret Schraub. Survivors include his loving daughter, Gay Lynn Olsvosky and husband Teddy of La Vernia; granddaughters, Sarah Louque and husband Jeremy of Seguin and Paula Olsovsky and fiancé Jonathan Lorton of La Vernia; great-grandchildren, Casey, Tyler and Haylee Louque; sister, Esther Mann of Seguin; brother, Ernest Schraub of New Braunfels; sister-in-law, Lorene Schraub of Seguin; special friend, Myrtle Voss of Seguin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Schmidt, Tim Schmidt, Jeremy Louque, Jonathan Lorton, S. L. Mann and Hilmar Cowey. Honorary pallbearers will be Texas Department of Transportation Retirees and the staff of Guadalupe Valley Nursing Center.
