Goldie K. Ishler, 94, rural Spring Mills, died Wednesday, December 29, 2004, at Mt. Nittany Medical Center in State College. She was born Nov. 1, 1910, in Julian, a daughter of the late James F. and Elizabeth Long Kline. On Feb. 17, 1930 she married Carl H. Ishler who preceded her in death on September 22, 1994. Mrs. Ishler graduated from high school and was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and earlier in life enjoyed fishing. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Boalsburg and attended New Hope Lutheran Church at Spring Mills. Mrs. Ishler is survived by one son, Ronald E. Ishler and his wife June of rural Spring Mills and grandchildren: grandson Allen and wife Holly Ishler and their children, Christopher and Heather; granddaughter Jeanne Ishler and Richard Casper and children, Brandi Shawver and Devon Hamilton; grandaughter Patty and husband Randy Wolff and their children, Michelle and Zachary; granddaughter Sue and husband Jeff Ayers and their children, Nichole and her husband Justin West and a great grandson Jon Ayers and one sister, Shirley Gilligan of State College. In addition to her parents and husband, Goldie was preceded in death by three brothers Royal Kline, Wayne Kline, and Clair Kline and Harold Connor who was raised with her family, and four sisters, Anne Corl, Helen Kline, Thelma Struble and Freda Straley. Funeral at New Hope Lutheran church, Rev. Gerald Krum officiating. Burial in Boalsburg Cemetery. [Centre Daily]
