Alice M. Concini, 78, of 126 Washington Drive, Mount Carmel Pa., a beloved wife, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at her home. Alice was born Dec. 8, 1933, in Mount Carmel, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Catherine (Petruskevich) Yuskoski. She was a 1951 graduate of Mount Carmel High School and a 1954 graduate of Ashland Hospital School of Nursing. On July 11, 1959, in Holy Cross Church, Mount Carmel, she married Victor E. Concini, who survives. Alice worked as a nurse for more than 29 years at the former Shamokin State Hospital in the operating room, in the male medical ward, in the recovery room and in central supply. Alice is remembered as a fun-loving, caring and devoted member of her family. Members of her family recall trips to the beach and learning to float and swim in the Atlantic Ocean with "Aunt Alice." She loved to laugh and was a constant source of support for her nieces, nephews and family members. She often assumed the role of matriarch in her extended family — never passing judgment and always working and praying hard to make sure the family was held together. Her generosity of spirit, kindness and no-nonsense attitude will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know her well. She was a devout Catholic and a former member of Holy Cross Church, Mount Carmel, and in recent years, was a member of the Church of Our Lady Parish in Mount Carmel. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sisters, Patricia Augustine and her husband, Philip, Loretta Fantanarosa, and Kathy Golden and her husband, James, all of Mount Carmel; a brother, Vince Yuskoski and his wife, Janet, of Mount Carmel, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and countless friends.

CONCINI — Alice M. Concini, 78, of 126 Washington Drive, Den-Mar Gardens. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of Our Lady. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township.
