YARMOUTH -- Rodney Edwin MacLearn, 87, went on to meet his Lord on April, 19, 2012, at Coastal Manor. He was born on Oct. 14, 1924, in Waterville, the son of George E. and Olive L. MacFarlane MacLearn. He moved to Yarmouth in 1931 and into his permanent home in 1933 on Baker Street, where he resided until July 2011, when he entered Coastal Manor. He worked on the railroad as a Brakeman, Conductor, Train Master and Asst. Superintendent for 44 years. Rodney taught bible classes in area churches for many years and made many close friends. He was predeceased by his son George in 2006; and his beloved brother Ray in 2008. He is survived by his wife Gladys to whom he was married for nearly 68 years. He is also survived by three grandsons; and 16 great- grandchildren. Burial will be private at Riverside Cemetery, Yarmouth. The family will hold a private ceremony at the cemetery at a later date.
