William was the son of William Lyle Berringer and Wyona Martha (Westover) Berringer

William Arthur Berringer 61 White Plains died Tues day Sept 7 2004 at Southern Maryland Medical Center in Clinton Md He was born Oct 25 1942 in McKeesport a son of William Lyle and Martha Wyona Westover Berringer. Mr Berringer was a graduate of Purchase Line High School Class of 1960 He was a self employed independent cookie and snack distributor He was also a custom car show judge and owned street rods and custom cars He was also a member of the College Park Moose Lodge and Family Motor Coach Association and enjoyed southern gospel music camping and NASCAR races Survivors include his wife Lorraine Haag Berringer whom he married Dec 2 1961 sons Bryan D and his wife Mary of Pomfret and Robert L White Plains sisters Karen Gleditsch and her husband Herb Indiana Mary Whitfield and her husband Russell Blairsville and Sandy Mester and her husband Dan Virginia Beach children Matthew Eric and Diane and many friends and relatives He was preceded in death by his parents Services were held Saturday at the Waldorf Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev Mike Phillips officiating Burial followed in Trinity Memorial Cemetery in Waldorf Md
