Nancy Alter was married to Daniel D. Klock on 26 December 1833 in the Reformed Dutch Church of Fort Plain, Minden Township, Montgomery Co., NY. The ceremony was witnessed by Jacob Alter and Peggy Smith. They were the parents of three children: Sylvester, Daniel Levi, and Maria "Julia". Daniel died about 1840.

Nancy married second to Joseph Drum, and they had two children: Mary C. and John. This family appeared in the 1850 federal census and was living in the Town of Minden, Montgomery Co., NY. Nancy died sometime after the birth of their son in 1853 and prior to the 1855 NY state census. By the 1860 census, Joseph Drum was also deceased, and his two young orphans were living with neighbors in Palatine Bridge, Montgomery Co., NY.
