Mrs. Barbara Lyndecker Yancey, 64,
wife of Andrew Yancey, died Thursday
afternoon, about 2:30, at her
home In Belfort, Death resulted from
heart disease, from which she had
been a sufferer the past three years.
She was born in Belfort, September
18, 1870, the eldest daughter of Joseph
and Barbara Zehr Lyndecker, She attended
the Belfort schools, and passed
her entire life In that vicinity. In
March 1899, she was married to Andrew
Yancey, and the couple settled
on the Yancey farm where they have
since resided. Besides her husband,
she is survived by three daughters,
Miss Lena Yancey; Lowville; Mrs
Henry Cooney, Savannah, N. Y.; Miss
Hilda Yancey, Belfort, four sons, Erwin,
Haskell, Howard and Joseph, all
of Belfort; four sisters, Mrs. Christian
Noftaler, Beaver Falls; Mrs. John
Yancey, Seneca Falls; Mrs. Peter
Swartzentruber, Clearfield, Pa; Mrs.
Jacob Roggie, Croghan; three brothers
Christopher Lyndecker, Croghan;
Michael and Joseph, of Belfort, one
grand child, Marion Cooney,Savannah,
N. Y. Funeral services were held Sunday
at 1 p. m., at the home, at 2 p. m.
at the Beaver Falls Evangelical
church, Rev. C. A. Whitehead, pastor,
officiating. Burial was made In the
Beaver Falls Cemetery.
