CRESTLINE, April 10 - Mrs. Catherine Deam, 92, of Emmet St., widow of the late John M. Deam, died of complications Wednesday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Ecki, 614 West Fourth St., Mansfield, where she was visiting.
Mrs. Deam, the daughter of Benjamin and Catherine Brokaw Covert, was born at New Athens, Harrison county, Sept. 9, 1854, and spent most of her life in Crestline, where she was a member of First English Lutheran church and its aid society.
Survivors, other than Mrs. Ecki, are five daughters, Mrs. Charles King, Crestline; Mrs. Catherine McLane, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. W. W. Brooks, Galion; Mrs. William Rollins, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. C. L. Porter, Cleveland; three sons, William, Vermillion; Omar, Los Angeles, Calif., and Raymond, Crestline; one sister, Mrs. Frances Williams, Martins Ferry; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p. m. Friday at the Ecki home, Rev. S. A. Metzger, First English Lutheran church, Crestline, will officiate and burial will be made at Fairview cemetery, Galion. Friends may call any time at the Ecki home.
