Mrs. Helms, widow of W. T. Langley and J. Lex Helms, died Saturday, Nov. 25. Born in Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late John and Frances Doster McManus. She was the oldest member of Fourth Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Virginia Langley of Hartsville, Jewel and W. H. Mullins of Hartsville and Mary Alice Dial of Columbia; a brother, Haskel McManus of Monroe, N.C.; a sister, Gertrude Williams of Monroe, N.C.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
