Services for Delia McManus Helms, 103, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2000, at the Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Kenneth Hood and the Rev. Paul Sowell, officiated with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.

Mrs. Helms, widow of W. T. Langley and J. Lex Helms, died Saturday, Nov. 25. Born in Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late John and Frances Doster McManus. She was the oldest member of Fourth Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Virginia Langley of Hartsville, Jewel and W. H. Mullins of Hartsville and Mary Alice Dial of Columbia; a brother, Haskel McManus of Monroe, N.C.; a sister, Gertrude Williams of Monroe, N.C.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
