Sparta was the daughter of Henry W. and Elizabeth York Childers. She married Benjamin Thomas Buse in Itawamba County, Ms. July 13, 1864 and they had two daughters: Malvina Sylvesta "Mallie" Buse and Mandella "Mandy" Buse. After Sparta's death, Ben remarried and he and his second wife Sarah are buried at Friendship Cemetery, Lee County, Ms.
Sparta's grave is located in a small clump of trees and bushes on the Baldwyn - Friendship Road just a few hundred yards south of the Baldwyn city Limits. As a youngster I remember there were two or three more broken stones in the bushes, but no sign of them now.
