In 1900 Paul was a saloon keeper in Winona, MN., where the family lived at 503 W. Fourth St. According to her grave marker, Julia died in 1905 at age 35.
The 1910 Federal Census notes that Paul is married to his second wife, Annie (Anna) who was working at home as a dressmaker while Paul worked as a Winona City Policeman. This was also Annie's second marriage. At that time two younger children, Richard and Selia were part of the family.
Sadly, Paul died at age 41, leaving Annie and several children.
