Adolph Anderson was born June 24, 1880 in Snertingdal, Norway.

He suffered a stroke at his home and later died at the Menomonie Hospital, Menomonie, on August 7, 1961. He lived to be 81years, 1 month and 14 days old.

He was baptized into the Christian faith in Norway on August 8, 1880. He came to this country with his parents at the age of about two years. He later confirmed his baptismal covenant with God on June 24, 1894 at St. John's Lutheran Church having been instructed by Rev. S. K. Ulsaker. He continued his membership in this congregation until the time of his death.

Mr. Anderson was married to Ida Johnson, December 27, 1905 in Spring Lake Township. From that time he worked as a craftsman in the Spring Valley area where he built and remodeled many homes.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida; one daughter Carol who died as a child, and one son, Arnold, who died only last year; two brothers John and Andrew.

He is survived by one son, Neal, Hudson, WI., one brother Mr. C. D. Anderson, Woodville, WI. Six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 10, 1961 at the St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ralph Johnshoy officiating. Interment was in the Spring Lake Lutheran Cemetery.
