He was born Jan. 28, 1927, in Gaston County, son of the late Tom and Ethel Pauline Hedrick Bolick.
Mr. Bolick was retired from Carolina Mills Plant #24 in Ranlo after 32 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Gail and Rick Ledford of Gastonia; sisters, Gail Epply, Peggy Hardin, Rachel Louise Elrod; grand-children, Sherry Gaston, William Barnes and Dennis Barnes; great-grandchildren, Shane, Mikayla, Tasha, Brandie and Zachary Barnes, Heather Gaston; good friend, Ray Walker of Gastonia.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Ruth Bolick; son, William George Barnes Sr.; brothers, Darrell, J.C. and Arnold Bolick; sisters, Pauline Bolick and Lorene Hodges.
