Mr. Poole

Junior Poole, 53, 9-A West Main St., died at 12:50 a.m. Wednesday at a Rome hospital.

Mr. Poole was born in Floyd County, November 22, 1930, son of the late Benjamin Franklin Poole Sr. and Elsie Mae Studdard Poole. He had spent all of his life in Floyd County, and for several years was employed by WestPoint Pepperell. At the time of his death, he was self employed as a paint contractor.

Survivors include two sons, Timothy F. Poole, Satellite Beach, Fla., Ervin J. (Butch) Poole, Rome; three step-sons, Gary Sullins, Valdosta, Benjamin R. Sullins, Buffalo, N.Y., Louie J. Sullins, Rome, two brothers, A. J. Poole and Charles T. Poole, both of Rome; four sisters, Mrs. Roxie Mae Yarbrough, Mrs. Pattie Sue Garrett, Mrs. Janice Hughes and Mrs. Mozell Huckaby, all of Rome; 10 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Talley Brothers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Leonard Bing officiating. Interment will be at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will include Gene Beck, Alton Poole, Ervin Poole, Randy Poole and Rick Cook.
