Everett worked for Chevrolet of Muncie for 37 years as a machine repairman. He was a member of Avondale Sympathy Club, East Central Indiana Church of God, former member of Gaston Church of the Nazarene, where he was leader of Pal Club during the 1960's, and mentored many children and was the basketball coach. He was an avid fisherman, carpenter and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alice (Armitage) Conner;
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathleen Bedwell; sisters, Madeline Jones, Opal (Osborn) Holter and Muriel Osborn; and long-time friend, Bob Rogers.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Parson Mortuary with Pastor David Smith and Pastor Chris Sherk. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Parson Mortuary, and one hour prior to services on Friday.
