PEORIA -- Jefferson Scheuermann, 89, of Quincy, father of a Peoria resident, died at 6:36 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, 1996, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Quincy.
Born July 7, 1907, near Breckenridge to Christian and Margaret Lehr Scheuermann, he married Florence Mary Wollbrink on Aug. 6, 1933, in Tioga. She died July 23, 1992. Five brothers and one sister also preceded him in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. David (Martha) Larson of Peoria, Mrs. John (Mabel) Larimer of Meredosia and Mrs. Jerry (Esther) Plowman of Hurdland, Mo.; three sons, Martin of Quincy, Cal of Chatham and Eldon of Minden, Nev.; two brothers, Walter of Quincy and Harold of Peoria; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bethany United Church of Christ in Tioga. Calling hours will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at Lamporte Funeral Home in Hamilton, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bethany United Church of Christ in Tioga, Trinity United Church of Christ in Quincy or Blessing Hospice in Quincy.
