Jacqueline "Jeanne" Rider, Boalsburg, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Roy Hall and Mabel (Peese) Hall of Milesburg. She graduated from Bellefonte High School. After graduation, she worked for Dr. Capers and West Penn Power Company. She was married to the late Charles Rider, who preceded her in death in December 2000. In 1954, Jeanne and Charles founded Rider Oldsmobile. They worked side-by-side in the family business until 1991, when they retired. Jeanne Rider attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She was also active in many community organizations. She served on the board of the State College YMCA. Jeanne was an outstanding member of the community, and was committed to improving the quality of the area in which she lived. She dedicated many hours to serve her community. She is survived by her son, Charles Rider II; two sisters, Bette Breault of Lancaster and Marjorie Weir of State College; three brothers, Roy Hall, Jr., her twin, of Bellefonte, Richard Hall of Milesburg, Rodman Hall of Milesburg and her dear friend and former daughter-in-law, Lois Bryan. One brother, John Hall, preceded her in death. In addition, she is survived by two grandchildren; Kelli Rider-Niebauer of Mechanicsburg, Chiz Rider of State College, and five great-grandchildren. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral at Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, State College, Saturday, February 12, 2005, Rev. David S. Janssen officiating. Interment at Centre County Memorial Park.
