SPRING GROVE, Miriam L. (Shearer) Myers, 82, of Spring Grove RD 6, died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday at Hanover General Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond E. Myers. The couple were married 61 years. The service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Sauter-Irwin Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in Trinity (Roth's) Church Cemetery. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Myers was born Jan. 13, 1913, in Berwick Township, Adams County. She was the daughter of the late George D. and Della M. (Sheaffer) Shearer. She was a member of Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ, Spring Grove RD 4. Mrs. Myers also is survived by a son, R. Laverne Myers of East Berlin RD 1; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, J. Earl Shearer and George W. Shearer, both of Hanover, Walter J. Shearer of Thomasville RD 1, and Lloyd E. Shearer of York. Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Mary E. Hutchens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ, Box 4322, Spring Grove RD 4 17362.
