John L. Shearer
SPRING GROVE - John L. Shearer, 64, husband of Mrs. A. Elizabeth Sauble Shearer, Spring Grove RD 3, died Saturday at 1:35 a.m. at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital, York, where he had been a patient three days.
Mr. Shearer had been employed by P. H. Glatfelter Co. 38 years, and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 227, Hanover, and Mount Zion United Church of Christ.
He was born in York County, a son of the late George and Della Sheaffer Shearer.
Surviving also are two sons, Robert L. Shearer and John D. Shearer, both of Spring Grove RD 3; five grandchildren; five brothers, J. Earl Shearer, York Street, Hanover; Walter J. and Lester E. Shearer, both of Thomasville RD 1; George W. Shearer, Hanover RD 3, and Lloyd E. Shearer, 2976 Greenwood Drive, York, and a sister, Mrs. Raymond E. Myers, Spring Grove RD 3.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. from the Sauter Funeral Home, 175 N. Main St. His pastor, the Rev. Morgan R. W. Andreas, will officiate. Burial
