Apparently, there was more than one William Alexander during the Rev War. This Wm would have been ca 34 at the time of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. I am pretty sure that he would have fought in this war.

There was another Wm Alexander who supposedly fought in the Rev War also, but he was only 24 at the signing. I think they both may have served, however, the Wm who was 34 at the signing is more likely to have been a Rev War Patriot!!!

Is it possible that the younger man got the war memorial that the older Rev War Patriot should have gotten? It is possible.... and sad.
