Amanda was the daughter of Peter Caylor and Hannah Bensinger. She married Samuel Minick ca. 1872. Her obituary states that she died at her home in Frostburg; her death certificate reports Young Twp., Jefferson Co., PA as her place of death.

Samuel and Amanda were the parents of six children:
