Edward Boyes was born in Des Plaines on Sept. 19, 1861, and died on November 16, 1926, at the home of George Stedman, where he had made his home for the last few year.
Mr. Boyes was married to Melinda Davis on December 26, 1889, who preceded him in death Feb. 14, 1920.
He was one of five children born to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Boyer*, all of whom have passed away, except one sister, Mrs. Annie B. King, of Antigo, Wisconsin. He also leaves two nieces and three nephews; also George Stedman, who made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Boyes since childhood, until after Mrs. Boyes Died, and with whom Mr. Boyes made his home recently.
The funeral services were held at the Stedman home Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. G. E. Smock, pastor of the Presbyterian church. Internment was in Lakeside cemetery.
