Mr. Evie Lena Vickery Boles, 83, of 220 Wayne Circle, Hartwell, died Wednesday, July 17 at Hartwell Health Care Center.
Born on June 6, 1930 in Hartwell, GA, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Y. Vickery and Lillian Roxie Brown Vickery. Mrs. Boles was a retired Machine Operator from Monroe Auto Equipment Co. and a member of the Milltown Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheri Wood Fleming of Hartwell; a brother, Ray (Diane) Vickery of Hartwell; three grandchildren, J. Brandon McDowell, Sheree N. Chappell and Jennifer M. Mechling; eight great-grandchildren, Alexis K. Daniel, Trinity A. Phillips, Hunter W. Chappell, Katie M. McDowell, Cameron B. McDowell, Piper C. McDowell, Ethan B. McDowell and Azalea M. Mechling also survive.
Mrs. Boles was preceded in death by her parents; husband Waymon Boles; a brother, Herbert W. Vickery and a sister, Ruby Nell Simpson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 20 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with Rev. Ken Brewer and Mr. Fred Greenway officiating. Burial will be in the Milltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body is at Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell where the family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes.
