Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Durrett Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. H.H. Belle officiating. Burial will be in Cave Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 9 a.m. until time for the service.
A native of Hopkinsville, he was born Jan. 31, 1930, the son of the late Nathaniel and Bennie Wooden. He was a custodial technician at the Christian County Courthouse. He was a member of Pioneer's Inc. and Western Hills Golf Club and was a member of the Durrett Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Darriet Bender Wooden; three sons, Nathaniel Wooden, Dallas, Texas, Jeffery Wooden, Indianapolis, Ind., Kenneth Wooden, Fort Campbell; five daughters, Patricia Wooden, Shirley Wilson, both of Dallas, Linda White, Debra Wooden, Angela Wooden, all of Indianapolis; a brother, Charlie Wooden, Inglewood, Calif.; a sister, Lucy Humphrey, Houston, Texas, 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
