AN AGED LADY DIES TODAY
Mrs. Elizabeth Barr Nicholls, in her 90th year, widow of the late James Nicholls, died this morning at 1:10 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Hunter of 406 Washington avenue, following a week's illness incident, following a week's illness incident to the infirmities of old age. A daughter of William and Ann Barr, and grandaughter of William Barr, Revolutionary war veteran, the deceased was born and raised near Kammera, Pa. After her marriage to James Nicholls, which took place in May 15, 1853, the deceased moved to Blythedale, where she made her home until coming to Charleroi two and one-half years ago. Mrs. Nicholls was beloved by all who knew her, and during her short stay in Charleori made many friends. She was a member of the United Presbyterian church at Buena Vista, Pa. She leaves the following children.
John B. Nicholls of Elizabeth township; Dr. J. C. Nicholls of Braddock; Dr. R. D. Nicholls of Farrell; Mrs. Martha J. Hunter of Charleroi; one sister, Mrs. FAnnie RAlston of Kansas City, Missouri and one brother, William Barr of Olatha, Kansas. Two grandchildren also survive, Virginia Hunter of this place, and Delmar Nicholls of West Newton.
Funeral services will take place Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of Dr. and MRs. J. W. Hunter, with Rev. Ralston of Buena Vista, and Rev. Robert J. Shields, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Charleroi, in charge. Interment will follow in the Round Hill cemetery, Elizabeth township.
