Grover Cleveland Adicks -- Cope

Grover Cleveland Adicks, 83, of Cope, died Monday, July 22, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Cope, with the Rev. Alan Woodward officiating.

He was born April 30, 1930, in Orangeburg County, the son of the late Grover Cleveland Adicks and the late Cora Kittrell Adicks. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. He we preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Myrtle Parish, Elma Brickle and Elizabeth Green; and five brothers, Ed Adicks, Charles Adicks, Glenn Adicks, George Adicks and John Adicks.

Survivors include a brother, Carl Adicks of the Canaan community; a sister, Annie L. Sanders of Cordova; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Adicks, Peggy Adicks, and Dot Adicks, all of the Canaan community; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg is in charge of the service.
