From The Maryville Daily Forum, September 27, 1946, Page 1:

"Elizabeth Rose Gross, 5-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gross died at 4 o'clock this morning at St. Francis Hospital. She had been ill of leukemia for the last three months.

She was born April 8, 1941 in Maryville and had lived here all her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Church.

Besides her parents she is survived by six brothers, Robert, Bill, Donald, Edmund, Tommy and Harold, and four sisters, Margaret, Mildred, Rita, and Mary Ann. She is also survived by her paternal grandmothers, Mrs. Josephine Gross, Detroit, Michigan.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed. They will be held at St. Mary's Church and conducted by the Pastor, Rev. Isidore Diebold."
