Survived by Many Relatives --Loved by Friends-- Long Illness Fatal
Funeral services, which were largely attended, were held Saturday evening a 4 o'clock at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Grand Coteau for Mrs. J. S. Barry, nee Mary Burleigh, 38, whose death occurred at her home after a long illness.
Rev. Father A. Latiolais, S. J., pastor, officiated. He paid tribute to Mrs. Barry, who was a devout Catholic. The pallbearers were four of her brothers: John Burleigh, Francis Burleigh, Henry Burleigh, and Mr. Lester Burleigh, Jr., and two brothers-in-law: Tom Barry and Charles Lavergne.
Surviving are her husband, a daughter, Beth, and a son, J. S. Barry, Jr.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Burleigh of Grand Coteau; seven brothers, Mr. John Burleigh of Port Barre, Mr. Lester Burleigh, Jr., of Beaumont, Texas, Mr. Leo Burleigh of Mound, Mr. Francis Burleigh of Sunset, Mr. Edgar Burleigh of Port Barre and Mr. Henry Burleigh of Grand Coteau; one sister, Mrs. Charles Lavergne of Lewisburg.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of E. S. Smith of Grand Coteau.
