He proudly served in the Korean War aboard the U.S.S. Calvert. Daniel was awarded the Korean Service Medal and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion #0460 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars #8134 in Castroville, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Juanita Flores; a brother, Robert; and his sister, Gloria F. Segura. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Amelia B.; daughter, Edna Marie Flores; son, Daniel B. Flores, Jr. and wife, Jo Ann C.; and his only granddaughter, Krystle Antoinette Flores; brother, Richard Able Flores and wife, Esperanza; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved Sir Humphrey, “King of all Dogs”. He will be greatly missed.
