Died Thursday, July 10, 1980, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 89, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Tallulah for the past 65 years. Religious services were held at 4 p.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church, Tallulah, conducted by the Rev. Craig Morgan. Burial in Tallulah Memorial Park.

Survived by a brother, Henry L. Fuqua Jr., Baton Rouge; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jo Ann K. Scott, Tallulah; three grandchildren, Joseph K. Scott, Walter M. Scott III and Mrs. Susan Scott Bernard, all of Tallulah, and three great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Gov. and Mrs. Henry L. Fuqua.

Pallbearers were Herbert Day, M. E. Phillips, Collins Thomas, Malcolm Cagnolatti Sr., Judge C. C. Adams, E. H. Lancaster Jr., R. C. Todd and Harvey P. Monger.

She was a member of the first LSU coed graduating class, charter member of Kappa Delta sorority and a former member of the LSU Board of Supervisors.

Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Tallulah.
