Married Annie Andrew, daughter of Arthur Dingwall Andrew of Blackhouse, New Deer, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, and his wife Barbara Peters on 28th June 1899 in Methlick Parish District, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. They had four sons, all born in Abdie:
