BAXTER –Funeral services for Ernest Elwood Clemons, 73, of Rt. 3, Baxter, were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday in the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home with Mickey Leftwich officiating. Burial was held in the
Smellage Cemetery.
Mr. Clemons, a native of Putnam County, died Friday, May 28, 1982 in Masters Health Care Center after an extended illness. He was the son of the late Ambrose and Annie Henderson Clemons and a farmer.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Clemons of Silver Point and Ernest Clemons of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter Deloris Shelton of CA; three brothers, Chester Clemons of Nashville, Bud Clemons and Harvey Clemons, both of Silver Point; 5 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.
