Harvey was born to Bert and Kate (DeKam) Van Kampen He came from a large Dutch family that was very close. He married Edna Kay Morgan in June 1944. He was a veteran of WW PFC Company F 6th Armored Infantry. He owned his own businesses and was an active community member and the Free Methodist Church. Harvey was my favorite Uncle when I was young. He had a quick smile and a wonderful sense of humor. He became ill and following major surgery died Christmas Eve 1969. He left behind his widow and two sons Patrick and Michael.
