Cora Boggs, 89, died Monday, October 3, 2005, at Claxton Nursing Home. She was born September 3, 1916, to the late Dock and Mary Levant Boggs. She was a native of Evans County and lived in Claxton all her life.
She is survived by one nephew, Jeremiah (Gloria) Nunnally of Claxton; six nieces: Lavone (Thernell) Clark of Atlanta, Elizabeth (Earl) Brewton of Claxton, Bettye Nunnally of Decatur, and Martha Huiett, Alice Howard, and Lula Mae Adams of Glennville; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 7 p.m. Friday, October 7, at King and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 8, at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Groveland, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. L. Perry McNeal officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
