This is our family Doyle, of Butler County, Greene, Iowa in the Coldwater Cemetery. Elizabeth Smyth(Smith)'s parents were from County Cavan, Ireland. Her parents were John Smyth and Matilda MacCabe. John Doyle's parents were Catherine Griffin & Richard Doyle.His parents were John Doyle & Catherine Power of Waterford Ireland. Both families immigrated to Ontario, then into Butler County IOWA.

"Mrs. L. (Anna Doyle) Hagarty was called upon last Thursday to attend the funeral of her mother Mrs. Elizabeth (Smith)Doyle of Bulter Center. Mrs. (Elizabeth)(Smith) was sick but one day with cramps of the stomach. She was very feeble and perhaps old age was the principal cause as she was 77 years old. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Fr. Ryan of Allison. She leaves to mourn her death of seven daughters, three sons, 40 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren".
