"Mrs. L. (Anna Doyle) Hagarty was called upon last Thursday to attend the funeral of her mother Mrs. Elizabeth (Smith)Doyle of Bulter Center. Mrs. (Elizabeth)(Smith) was sick but one day with cramps of the stomach. She was very feeble and perhaps old age was the principal cause as she was 77 years old. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Fr. Ryan of Allison. She leaves to mourn her death of seven daughters, three sons, 40 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren".
