Son of Andreas & Hedwig Regina (Schubert) Shober. Buried in the Huber/Shober Graveyard, north of Newport Road, Lititz.
Married Rosina Thomas - Jan. 5, 1769 at St. James Church, Lancaster - children:

He was sent to Lititz at an early age to become a pottery apprentice. For a time, he was also organist of the congregation. He and Rosina were expelled from the town on Jan. 2, 1769, after meeting secretly during church services, but Rosina was re-admitted to the congregation as an out-of-town member in 1788.
