Youth Hurt, Heart Attack Claims Father
Funeral services for Mr. Lawson will be held
At 11 a.m. Friday at the Wickenburg Funeral Home

Launey Lawson, 50 year-old Wenden man,died of a heart attack in Community Hospital here Monday evening while his 18-year-old son Bennie was still in the emergency room to which he had been brought by ambulance with a gunshot wound in the left foot accidentally inflicted while hunting.

Hospital attendants said that very soon after the injured youth had been brought to the hospital the father arrived and asked for the emergency room. Within a few minutes he suffered the fatal heart attack. The son was taken to a Phoenix hospital.

Wickenburg Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements which were pending at press time.

Rites Here For Launey Lawson

Launey C. Lawson, passed away of a heart attack in Community Hospital here March 21, had been in the well drilling business in Wenden for the past eight years. He was a native of Oklahoma.

The Rev. Bert Follmar of the Calvary Baptist Church conducted the funeral services March 25 in the Wickenburg Funeral Home and burial followed in the Wickenburg Cemetery.
He was 50 years of age and is survived by his wife Dixie Pearl, four sons, Launey Jr., Ben, Roland and David, and two daughters, Bonnie and Wendy, all of Wenden.
