BEARDSTOWN, IL - Cathern Maltby, 65, of Beardstown died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at her home.
Born June 12, 1931, in Sterling, Colo., to Edward and Emma Coon Tandy, she married Otto Maltby on Nov. 5, 1948, in Virginia, Ill. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Mary Giffhorn of Peoria, Patty Grant of East Peoria and Willa Hundley of McKee, Ky.; two sons, Thomas of Deer Creek and Timothy of East Peoria; one brother, Raymond Tandy of East Peoria; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Two infant sons, one brother, one sister and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
She was a member of Black Oak Church near Beardstown.
Burial will be in Beardstown City Cemetery.
